Government of AlbertaAlberta Film Tax Credit ProgramRolling, decided by the Minister The Film and Television Tax Credit (FTTC) offers a refundable Alberta tax credit certificate on eligible Alberta production and labour costs to corporations that produce films, television series and other eligible screen-based productions in the province. Applicants may apply for either a 22% or 30% tax credit rate. Principal photography must not have started before an application is submitted to the program.Budgets of 500k or greater Productions that began principal photography between March 1, 2019, and January 27, 2020 are eligible to apply to the program until March 31, 2021. For all other productions, principal photography must not have started before an application is submitted to the program. But must begin principal photography on the production no later than 6 months after an Authorization Letter 22% tax credit: - incorporated in Alberta - be making an eligible production with total production costs of $499,999 CAD (before GST) or greater - not have received funding from the Alberta Production Grant or the Alberta Screen-Based Production Grant 30% tax credit: the above criteria plus - need to have at least one Alberta-based producer with a single card credit recognition - have the production’s copyright held, at least in part, by an Alberta-based individual partnership or corporation at the time of application and for a minimum of 10 years following the completion of production - spend at least 60% of the total production costs in Alberta or spend at least 70% of the total production salary or wages on Alberta-based individuals

The Quebecor FundTelevision Convergent Production SupportApril 1 October 1Through this component, the Quebecor Fund aims to support the Canadian production of television programs with quality content, in French, English and/or Aboriginal languages comprising the production of a multi-platform component. The programs must be broadcast by a programming undertaking (PU) recognized by the CRTC.• The applicant’s main activity must be the production of audiovisual programming. Quebecor Fund will give priority to producers with significant experience in their sector of activities; • The applicant must file a project whose first broadcasting date is later than the deadline for filing the application; • Projects must include the production of a multi-platform component using platforms such as Internet, VOD, mobile devices, and/or other digital platforms;
The Quebecor FundFilm Production Assistance ProgramMay 25 2021The Quebecor Fund’s Film Production Assistance Program, together with the industry’s stakeholders, aims to: • Support the production of French-language Canadian feature films; • Support the multi-platform distribution of feature films, and in particular foster integrated marketing strategies from the development stage with an interactive marketing component; • Permit creative and production teams to produce a final product as close to their initial creative vision as possible; • Promote return on investment to increase its scope of assistance to producers and distributors. • The applicant’s main activities must include film production. • The application for funding must be jointly submitted by the producer and the distributor. The producer must have produced at least two (2) feature films. The distributor must be recognized by Telefilm Canada. • For financing the production of an animated film, the application must be jointly submitted by the producer and the distributor who holds the distribution rights for the film outside Quebec and/or for the Quebec market. The applicant must obligatorily: • have found a minimum of 90% of its financing budget and, preferably, have some financial support from SODEC and/or TELEFILM; or • have completed at least 75% of filming if the project has never been previously submitted to the Quebecor Fund and provide a copy of a first film edit, a project previously submitted to the Quebecor Fund but not retained may be eligible for application during the production stage; The project must include the following: • the production of a French-language Canadian feature film with an issued distribution licence and a broadcasting licence by a CRTC-recognized French-language Canadian PU; • an interactive marketing plan; • a production budget over $1,500,000. The application must be submitted: • during the development or pre-production stage and before signing any formal agreements with institutions such as SODEC or TELEFILM Canada; or • during production, when filming is 75% or more completed.
The Quebecor FundExport Assistance ProgramAnytimeThrough its Export Assistance Program (EXAP), the Quebecor Fund supports producers, distributors and broadcasters in developing audiovisual content for markets outside Quebec and internationally, and provides support in terms of marketing this content.• Applicant profile must be: producer, distributors or broadcaster; • Must be based in Quebec; • The company must be more than five (5) years old and/or the applicant must have over fifteen (15) years of experience in the audiovisual sector. In all cases the applicant must have previous experience in content marketing or exportation

Quebec CitySupport for the production of short films and webseriesN/AThis financial support has the following specific objectives: Support productions of short films (less than 30 minutes in length) or web series having a significant impact on the film, digital and television industry in Quebec; Contribute to the professionalization of artists, artisans and producers in the region's film, digital and television industry; Increase the visibility of talents and projects from the region on digital distribution platforms. • Canadian citizens or permanent residents • Production ready • confirmed financial structure of at least 25% of the overall budget at the time of submission, by the financial participation of the producer and a combination of financial contributions in money and / or confirmed services; • Key artists held primarily by artists, artisans, producers, professionals and businesses originating in or established in Quebec from scriptwriting to postproduction; • have a minimum of 75% of the total cost of the project in the Quebec region;
Quebec CitySupport for the production of feature films and television seriesN/AThis call for projects has the following specific objectives: Support feature film productions (minimum 75 minutes) or television productions that have a significant impact on the film and television industry in the Capitale-Nationale region; Stimulate the hiring of local creative positions allowing the region to increase its distinctive appearance and its influence here and abroad; Complete the support of the Aid Measure for the start-up of film and television productions and optimize their impacts; Complement the existing financing offer, by offering financial support that helps to finalize the financing structure. • Canadian citizens or permanent residents; • Production ready • confirmed financial structure of 60% of the overall budget at the time of submission • budget is at least $ 1 million for a fiction and $ 250,000 for a documentary; • Key artists, artisans, producers, professionals and companies originating in or established in the Capitale-Nationale region from scriptwriting to postproduction; • minimum of 60% of eligible expenses in the Capitale-Nationale region *;
Mels StudiosFonds MelsFonds MELS supports Quebec producers and directors who need to round out financing for the production and/or postproduction phase of a feature-length fiction or documentary project.• The total production budget may not exceed $1.5 million; • The production must have a contract with a distributor or broadcaster guaranteeing commercial distribution; • At least 50% of the financing must come from Quebec (not counting MELS’ contribution); • Producer(s) and director(s) must be permanent residents of Quebec; • The feature-length fiction film or documentary must be at least 60 minutes long; • The production must have the support of one of the following institutions: Telefilm Canada SODEC Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec (CALQ) Canada Council for the Arts Quebecor Fund Harold Greenberg Fund • MELS’ contribution will complete the production’s financing, secure its feasibility and ensure that it comes to fruition.
