The Canadian Independent Screen Fund, in partnership with BIPOC TV & Film, Creatives Empowered, Vancouver International Asian Film Festival, and The Atlantic Filmmakers Cooperative  present the Business Skills Series, a series of professional development programs and clinics to build capacity among BIPOC producer to manage their own budgets, finances and paperwork in order to retain control of their IP. 

Business Affairs Basics Sessions

November 18 & 25, 2021

Led by award-winning producer Sidney Chiu, these online sessions will introduce participants to the basic business needs of a production. Whether you are a creative writer who wants to enter the world of production, an emerging or a seasoned producer, these sessions are for you.

In two sessions, participants will be taken through:
