The Canadian Independent Screen Fund for BPOC Creators is a national funding program dedicated to supporting content creators from Black and People of Color communities, for the development and production of their screen-based projects.

  • BPOC Owned & Controlled

    Supports projects submitted by BPOC owned companies or productions.

  • All Professional Levels

    Three tiers for evaluation: emerging, intermediate and experienced.

  • Development & Production

    Provides support for the development and production of Scripted and Non-Scripted projects, as well last-in top-up interactive digital media content.

About The Canadian
independent screen fund

In 2020, the CISF for BPOC Creators was born out of the former Canadian Independent Film and Video Fund (CIFVF). In 2020, the Board made a historic decision to rebrand the organization, retaining its primary mandate, but positioning the fund to support BPOC filmmakers.
